$325.00

In Your Vase!

With Karra Wise and Fortunate Orchard

A Two Part Workshop:

Sunday June 23rd 10am-12 and Saturday July 13th 10am-12

In The Shed

Join ceramicist Karra Wise and florist Hannah Morgan for two mornings of creativity and craft. Students will learn the basics of hand building with clay and the fundamentals of flower arranging - combining two elemental art forms. On June 23rd we will use the coil & pinch method to build a water tight vessel from white clay. Karra will demonstrate technique and offer guidance to students as they build a medium (approx 6”x6”) size vase destined to hold their future flower arrangements. We will reunite on July 13th, after our vessels have been clear glazed & fired by Karra, to design an arrangement in our vases. Hannah will discuss and demonstrate the mechanics of sustainable floristry and flower sourcing and care. Students will take inspiration from the buckets of local blooms we have on hand to create a floral masterpiece in their ceramic masterpiece. These classes are going to be a ton of fun, full of art, nature, making new friends, snacks and bevvies! Students will leave with their custom vases and the skill to arrange botanicals through every season. Grab your friends because this class has a 6 person minimum!

Both days will be spent In The Shed in the Mt. Baker neighborhood… exact location will be mailed out a few days before the first class. We are close to bus lines and the light rail as well!

tickets are non-refundable but you may transfer to a friend or family
